CHRP Classes
Chicago Human Rhythm Project's MAYFAIR ARTS CENTER (MAC) is a bustling multi-purpose space for classes, rehearsals, informal performances and special events as well as a business development center for sister nonprofits in and around Calumet Heights. CHRP and its Core Resident Partners - including Najwa Dance Corps, Ayodele Drum and Dance, Black Girls Dance, Emma Mae's SunRays, Russell Talbert Ballet and Deeply Rooted Dance Theater - are offering classes for children, teens, adults, and elders including Tap, West African, Hip Hop, Steppin, Fitness, Ballet, North African Belly Danceand more. The MAC also provides business development services and subsidized space for classes, rehearsals, informal performances and special events for small to medium-sized nonprofit arts organizations and independent artists.

Parking & Directions
The Mayfair Arts Center is located in Calumet Heights on the corner of 87th and Bennett. The MAC is easily accessible by car from the Stony Island exit on I-94 or the 87th St exit on I-90, and by transit via bus lines J14 (Jeffery Jump), 15, and 87. Free parking is available in the lot adjacent to the building.

The Mayfair Arts Center (MAC) is a program of Chicago Human Rhythm Project. Major funding has been provided by the City of Chicago Department of Planning and Economic Development Neighborhood Opportunity Fund, Philip and Marsha Dowd, Elaine Cohen and Arlen Rubin, Patti Eylar and Charles Gardner, Pamela Crutchfield, Paul Levy and Mia Park, The Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation, City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events Project Grant and the Illinois Arts Council. Pro bono legal services were provided by Henry Krasnow.
This move enables CHRP to expand services and programs as well as to honor the 63+ year legacy of Tommy and Peggy Sutton's Mayfair Academy - a true South Side institution.
